| Hey guys, i know its been awhile since i've posted anything, but between work and everything else i've been kinda busy. Not to mention i wasnt exactly ready to take that post about Sadie down quiet yet. Oh well moving on. Summer's been pretty good so far, been working at the extension office here in madison county all summer and so far have loved it. Got to go back to camp and fair, both of which had their ups and downs but went over otherwise ok. Next week we're taking a group of teen leaders down to Kings Island, so pretty stoked about that one!!! but that cant compare to whats going on this weekend!!!! I leave Thursday evening with Travis and Becky to make our way up to Danville Ohio and to Camp Hamwi 2007!!!!!! for those of you that dont know, this is the diabetes camp that i've been going to for about 13 years and the only place that i know i truely fit in. thats not saying that i dont love my friends back here at home, but at camp these people really know what its like to have this disease and to live with it from day to day, all the needle pokes, shots, diet constrictions, doctor's visits and everything else. They're my 2nd family. The friendships you make are amazing, i still hang out with the girls that were in my cabin my first year there when i was 8! Theres nothing like being woke up at least once a night to get your sugar checked, its all part of the fun!!!! just hope i dont have another night like i did 2 years ago, they had to come back and wake me up 6 times cause my sugar just would not come up above 100, yeah it sucked, after that peanut butter sandwhiches are not my favorite anymore. Nothing compares to the smunchies, dr. dodgeball, the weinie man song, and other camp traditions that we strive to keep going year to year at Camp Hamwi. Only those that have been there understand the true meaning and the reason we all keep going back year to year. Its one of the few things I look forward too every summer. Ok so yeah can ya tell I'm excited for 4 o'clock thursday afternoon?? If you guys all love me during the week of August 12-18 you'll write me lots and lots of letters!!! Heres the address: Abby Keyt Camp Hamwi 19744 Turkey Ridge Road Danville, OH 43014 And yeah if you couldnt tell by the address its out in the middle of nowhere, but its the most beautiful 600 acres ever!!!! | | |
| September 9, 1994-April 10, 2007 You had a great 13 years girl. You were the best dog a girl could ask for and I've got soooo many good memories of you. You will be greatly missed, Love ya Sadie | | |
| Well hey guys long time no post. I realize this and apologize for it, but hey deal with it! Lots have been going on with me. Sadie's still kicking, but shes coming towards the end, i'm just grateful that i was able to spend an extra couple months with her. Spring break is almost over, it was an interesting trip up to michigan with the meat judging team....three days in a meat packing plant judging beef carcasses and freezing our butts off...grand ole time let me tell you. Actually it was really interesting...but after awhile...all beef carcasses start to look the same. But the tour that we got to go on was really interesting, i had never seen the whole process from start to finish so that was cool. Kind of looking forward to spring quarter, not only is campus beautiful this time of year, and the weather is amazing...but i'm actually looking forward to my classes. I'm taking 2 animal science courses and an Ag. Comm class, but no meat science courses that wont be till fall quarter (wow i just realized i'll be dealing with alot of meat fall quarter...meat judging team and a harvesting class) Life in general is ok, going through a couple rough spots but i can get through it, just keep me in your prayers and thoughts please. Oh well i might as well get back to work...i mean they are paying me to actually work and not sit here updating my xanga!!!! | | |
| You had a great run girl, couldnt have asked for a better 13 years!!!! sure gonna miss ya!!!! hope your last days at home are comfortable, it wont be the same without ya!!!! Thanks for being the best dog a girl could ask for!!!! Love ya Sadie Yeah guys, my golden retriever of 13 years, Sadie, probably isnt going to make it till the end of the week, the vet said the tumor in her bladder is too far progressed to do anything about it now, so we're just trying to make her as comfortable as possible at home....so say a pray for her and all of us please | | |
| Dont talk to me about the game. Yes i know we lost...and we lost bad. Dont rub it in my face that we didnt play well at all. I dont want to hear it. If you're a Gator fan, congrats you guys played a good game. Call me a sore loser, i dont care....i just dont want to talk about it. I'll always be a Buckeye through and through no matter the outcome of the game. "How firm thy friendship....O-H-I-O!!!!" | | |
